Still on the hunt for alternative Valentines ideas for you we’ve stumbled across the prettiest and possibly tastiest sounding cocktails. These creations from Patron aren’t for the faint hearted, these drinks require the skills of the most confident of bar tenders and the determination to source some of the unusual ingredients. Once they’re made, assuming you’ve made them correctly, the tequila based drinks might just impress your Valentine and hopefully taste nice. Yum.
- 2 oz Patrón Silver infused with honeycomb and violet.
- 1/2 oz honey syrup
- 1/2 oz lemon juice
- 1/2 oz violet liqueur
- Sprig of tarragon
- Gently bruise a sprig of tarragon in a shaker with a muddler.
- Add Patrón Silver, lemon juice, violet liqueur, and ice.
- Shake vigorously until well chilled.
- Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
- 2 oz Patrón Silver
- 1 oz lemon juice
- 1 oz lavender syrup*
- 4 dashes : floral bitters
- 1 egg white
- Pour all ingredients except the egg white into shaker. Dry shake vigorously.
- Then add the egg white and shake again to emulsify the egg white.
- Finally, add the ice and shake again, then strain into a short martini glass. Garnish with an edible flower.
*To create the lavender syrup add 2 cups of lavender into a pot, add 4 cups of water, bring to a boil, add 4 cups of sugar and stir until sugar has been dissolved. Let it simmer for about 20 minutes then infuse for about 48 hours.
