With the ability to display different images, animations and puzzle games, Pix Mini allows kids to have fun on their way to and from school or during free time…the only limit to what kids can do with Pix Mini is their imagination.

After raising more than $46,000 on Kickstarter, which is three times the initial campaign goal for the Pix Mini, crowdfunding for the first digital smart backpack designed for kids continues on Indiegogo InDemand.
“We’re very happy that so many kids will have the opportunity to enjoy Pix Mini, designed to help them develop their social and logical skills with their friends while they tap into their creativity,” said Pix Inc. CEO Margaret Rimek. “We appreciate the support from our backers on Kickstarter, and we anticipate more parents and children will discover Pix Mini on Indiegogo InDemand.”
The Pix Mini Smart Backpack is battery-powered, app-controlled and offers Bluetooth connectivity, featuring a built-in LED display that can be controlled from any iOS/Android smartphone device. With the help of the companion app, children can express themselves by creating their own designs and animations to display on their backpacks.
Children can draw directly on Pix Mini through an integrated in-app image editor – which they use to create animations and display them on the ambient screen of the backpack. Kids can also adjust the app, using boxes that correspond to specific pixels, to allow quick and easy color and design changes.
In addition to creating their own pixel art and displaying their creativity, kids can also share it with their friends – and can even use Pix Mini to play puzzle games with friends – activities that both further the socialization process by encouraging interaction.
“Pix Mini is also a bright and highly visible backpack, which ensures kids can be easily seen and stay safe during dark early morning and nighttime hours,” Rimek adds.
Made with children in mind, Pix Mini is easy for kids to carry. It is lightweight, weighing only 1.8 pounds/800 grams empty, and has a volume of 15 liters that provides a practical size that gives kids the space to carry every school essential.
“While the Pix Mini has a trendy design that will let your child show off their own personal style and confidence on every single walk to school, it’s most important role is offering brain-stimulating games designed to test their memory and cognitive capabilities,” Rimek said. “With the ability to display different images, animations and puzzle games, Pix Mini allows kids to have fun on their way to and from school or during free time. The only limit to what kids can do with Pix Mini is their imagination.”
