DALLAS, TX, October 12, 2018 — Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Alice A. Baker Dailey with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Dailey celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Originally a dancer, Ms. Dailey served as the owner and president of Oasis Mind-Body Conditioning Center, Inc., from 1988 to 2010. She noticed people were having problems getting in shape and began teaching a method that nobody else taught. Instead of Pilates, they got more information and a deeper core with inner core workout movements, and she was interested to see how making those changes made their bodies so much better. She began her career teaching music within both the Dallas and Houston Independent School Districts in the early 1970s, and worked in other positions before starting her first company, Alice Ann Baker Exercise: Therapeutic Conditioning, in the 1980s. She then worked as an exercise physiologist for numerous companies including Texas Instruments, HealthCheck, the International Athletic Club, the Verandah Club, and Goodbody's, during which time she also served as a consultant for the Region 10 Education Service Center, RepublicBank, and the Crescent Spa at the Landry Center.
Born in Durant, OK, Ms. Dailey earned a Bachelor of Music from the University of Oklahoma in 1968. She went on to obtain a Master of Science in physiology from North Texas State University almost two decades later, and to this day continues to provide students with continuing education credits. During her master's program, she consulted an osteopathic doctor with many questions about the body. She became a Gold Certified Pilates Teacher by the Pilates Methodist Alliance in 2005, as well as a Certified Fitness Instructor by the American College of Sports Medicine. She served as a troop leader for the Girl Scouts of America for seven years and was also affiliated with the board of directors for the Dallas Dance Council for three years, among many other organizations.
In conjunction with her professional positions, Ms. Dailey has also produced and created several workout videos. These titles include “Your Dailey Inner Body Workout,” “Towel Work,” “The Inner Body Workout” and “Therapeutic Conditioning,” as well as two books titled “Daily Strengthening: 6 Keys to Balance Core Muscle for Optimal Health” and “Power of Posture.” In addition, she has contributed numerous articles to professional journals and is listed in the first edition of Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America, the 25th edition of Who's Who of American Women, the first edition of Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare, the sixth edition of Who's Who in American Education, and the 20th and 21st editions of Who's Who in the South and Southwest.
In recognition of outstanding contributions to her profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Alice A. Baker Dailey has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
