I am truly excited to join AniCura and the journey to shape the future of veterinary care in Europe. AniCura is the result of impressive entrepreneurship combined with a commitment to improve quality of care and drive development across the industry that I find highly appealing. As part of the family-owned Mars, I believe AniCura is well positioned to continue to play an important role in shaping the veterinary industry for decades ahead, says Azita Shariati, newly appointed Group CEO of AniCura.

Azita Shariati succeeds Peter Dahlberg who has been Group CEO of AniCura since the company’s inception in 2011 and recently announced his intention to step down.

Peter Dahlberg has taken AniCura on a remarkable journey from its first animal hospitals in Stockholm only seven years ago to a leading pan-European veterinary care provider well-known for its prominent position within specialized care, commitment to quality development and strong company culture. I would like to thank Peter for his significant achievements in building AniCura and pioneering the veterinary industry, says Alejandro Bernal.

Azita Shariati assumes her position as Group CEO of AniCura no later than December 1, 2019.
