Retiring in 2018 as an assistant security account manager for Mulligan Security following three years of service, Mr. Pride previously excelled as a security supervisor and the director of the Fire Safety and Emergency Action Plan for the Edison Hotel in New York City between 2007 and 2015. He began his career as an office manager with Leber Katz Partners Advertising Agency in New York City in 1975, later working as a production estimator, media planner, out-of-home media buyer and sports buyer for Dancer, Fitzgerald & Sample between 1976 and 1981. He additionally served as the vice president of sports and promotion for Backer, Spielvogel, Bates Worldwide between 1981 and 1995 and Zenith Media from 1995 to 1995. Continuing to climb the corporate ladder, Mr. Pride eventually held the roles of business development manager with Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. between 2004 and 2005 and the vice president of sales for Classic Protection, Inc. between 2006 and 2007.

During his tenure, Mr. Pride contributed as a panelist at several New York and Los Angeles conferences regarding the importance of new media such as the internet and advertising. He was also involved in a movement in the early to mid-1990s regarding the value of merchandising and promotion and its impact on media efficiencies and marketing impact on behalf of clients. A longtime member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary since 1980, Mr. Pride served as a division commander for the organization during 2000.

Mr. Pride has notably been awarded a Presidential Unit Citation from the U.S. Coast Guard, seven Unit Commendation Awards, six Meritorious Team Commendations, a Bicentennial Unit Commendation, and a Special Operations Ribbon. He was further presented with an Outstanding Unit Award from the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Transportation in 1997, and he was recognized with an Auxiliary Boat Crew Coxswain Qualification Badge and numerous other auxiliary awards. Mr. Pride has been featured in nearly 20 editions of Who's Who, including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the World and Who's Who in Finance and Business.

Mr. Pride initially pursued an education at Saint Francis College in Brooklyn, NY, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in English in 1974. He was later certified professionally as a fire and life safety director and was qualified as a public education instructor in the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Moreover, Mr. Pride is licensed as a security officer by the state of New York.
