July 09, 2019 – Shanghai, China – Hutong School, a Chinese language school providing intensive Chinese language and internship programs throughout Asia, Europe, and Australia hosted a For A Greener Future: The Future of Sustainability in China speakers’ event.

On June 27th, 2019 Hutong School hosted a For A Greener Future: The Future of Sustainability in China speakers’ event with guest speakers Isabel Nepstad of Solidaridad and Darren O Connell of ReLabs. Our speakers are focused on creating responsible practices within their specific industries that promote planetary health and the longevity of our planet. Contrary to what many people might think, environmental deterioration is a heavily discussed topic in China, and the Chinese government has created long-term goals aimed at improving the environment. Alongside them are many smaller domestic companies and individuals helping to carry out the vision of keeping our Earth green and sustainable for years to come.

We are thrilled to be able to provide a wide-ranging, informative and clear-eyed presentation from experts in the field of corporate social responsibility and sustainability in China. We believe it is essential that we continue to include activities and events in our Chinese language and internship programs in order to provide our students with the best possible learning experience and to continue to broaden students’ knowledge of China.
