J. Craig Honaman notably pioneered the use of helicopters with hospitals for medical transport in medium-sized communities.

For close to 50 years, Mr. Honaman has made a name for himself in health care administration. Currently the principal of H&H Consultant Partners, LLC, in Atlanta, GA, since 2001, he formerly worked throughout the Atlanta area and northern Florida in numerous upper level management roles. Most recently, he served as the senior vice president of Haney & Associates and executive director of HomeCare Alliance of Georgia, Inc., in Atlanta and as president of KNH Healthcare and Kellogg Healthcare, Inc., in Jacksonville, FL. Mr. Honaman also worked for several hospitals and medical centers during his career and remains a longtime consultant in the Atlanta area.

Inspired to work in health care administration after serving in the U.S. Army, Mr. Honaman was also greatly influenced by his grandfather, who was a successful businessman for many years. A former vice president of Bell Telephone in New York, his grandfather also worked as a loan executive for the United States government under President Eisenhower. Mr. Honaman notably served as a captain in the Medical Service Corps between 1966 and 1969 and was an aviator and completed various assignments that included one year in the Republic of South Vietnam. Blending his army expertise with the health care industry, Mr. Honaman notably pioneered the use of helicopters with hospitals for medical transport in medium-sized communities years later.

Mr. Honaman is an elected fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Through the organization he received certification as a healthcare manager and retirement coach and as a regent for northern Georgia. He is a member of his local rotary club as well and has been active as a volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America, the American Red Cross, the American Cancer Society and the Ronald McDonald House.

The recipient of several awards for his service in the military, Mr. Honaman was recently named to the Georgia Military Veteran Hall of Fame for Valor in 2017. Other honors he has received include a Distinguished Flying Cross for Heroism, Army Medal Combat Medical Badge, 19 Air Medals for Combat Flying and a Vietnam Service Ribbon, among others. He also received a Public Benefit Flying Award from the National Aeronautic Association in 2004. Mr. Honaman has been showcased in every edition of Who's Who in American since 1994, as well as over 20 editions of Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare and Who's Who in the South and Southwest.

Mr. Honaman holds a Bachelor of Science from North Carolina State University and Master of Science from the University of Alabama. He is also a licensed commercial pilot.
