Originally a native of Greece, Mr. Papageorgis relocated to the United States in 1951. That same year, he accepted the position of a general helper at Libby's Lunch, a fast-food operation located in Paterson, New Jersey since 1936. As he progressed within the company, he held the posts of a cook, a counterman, and a manager. Mr. Papageorgis excelled as the co-owner from 1963 to 1983, the secretary, and the treasurer of the Libby's A Corporation in Paterson, further advancing to the post of the president between 1983 and 1985. Subsequently, he worked as an officer for the Passaic County Sheriff's Department in Paterson from 1985 to 1988.
After a two-year break, Mr. Papageorgis was hired by the Division of Youth and Family Services in Newton-Pompton Lakes, New Jersey as a family service specialist between 1990 and 1992. Moreover, he has found success as a food service associate with Sodexho-Marriott at William Paterson University in New Jersey, since 1993. For his achievements with the aforementioned company, Mr. Papageorgis was the recipient of an awards.
In the midst of his career, Mr. Papageorgis earned a Bachelor of Science from Seton Hall University in 1974. Soon thereafter, he graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a Master of Business Administration in 1978. After receiving a certification in international business from Seton Hall University in 1983, Mr. Papageorgis concluded his academic pursuits with a Master of Business Administration from the aforementioned institution in 1987.
Civically, Mr. Papageorgis has remained active in the Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church from 1970 to 1998. A member of the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association, he also maintains a professional affiliation with the Panzakynthian Brotherhood. An exceptionally Marquis listee, Mr. Papageorgis has been selected for numerous editions of Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the World.
