Kitten Lady will discuss how and why TNR saves cats’ lives, how to practice TNR in a safe, fun and effective manner and contingency planning for sick cats, nursing moms, feral kittens, etc. Tickets for the workshop are $25 per person and can be purchased from the MEOW Now website.
About 501(c)(3) non-profit MEOW Now:
MEOW Now was formed to implement an effective Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) program for community cats in Pinellas County. MEOW Now is responsible for taking their concern to the Pinellas County Commissioners who on October 21, 2014 finally voted unanimously to amend the county code to allow TNVR in Pinellas. Pinellas County Commissioners and Pinellas County Animal Services endorse TNVR as the best means of controlling and reducing the feral cat population. MEOW Now also provides colony caregivers and independent trappers needed resources and education to help in their mission to make a difference in the lives of local cat populations. Since the fall of 2014, volunteer-based MEOW Now has successfully provided TNVR to over 4,500 free-roaming, community cats and has fostered over 300 kittens that were placed for adoption.
