Logic Programming Associates (LPA), developers of VisiRule, a graphical AI tool for developing Legal Expert Systems, is pleased to announce its involvement in the first LegalTech Summer School (LTSS), to be held from 5-9 August 2019 at the Computational Foundry on the Bay Campus, Swansea, UK.

The LTSS 2019 offers the opportunity to learn about the application of Artificial Intelligence concepts and technologies as they apply to law and legal services, which are driving dramatic change in LegalTech. The programme particularly suits legal professionals working in private sector law firms, public sector government offices, and third sector non-profit organisations. The courses and hands on sessions will be taught by lecturers from industry and academia. In addition, prominent invited speakers will address the current situation and future of LegalTech.

Clive Spenser, Marketing Director at LPA commented, “We are excited to be joining in this initiative and working with other lecturers from industry and academia. AI technology is poised to disrupt the delivery of legal services and this event can help us better understand the opportunities in the legal sector as well as allow us to introduce VisiRule to a whole new audience.”

LPA was formed in 1981 to exploit research at Imperial College into Logic Programming. In 1999, LPA helped create Business Integrity Ltd and establish Contract Express as a premier Contract Automation software package. LPA joined the Barclays Eagle Labs LawTech incubator in Notting Hill, London in February 2019.
