The American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance is making artwork available for agents seeking to support awareness efforts during November's Long-Term Care awareness Month.
Los Angeles, CA, October 06, 2018 — November is national Long-Term Care Awareness Month and artwork for this year's event is being made available by the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance.
“We established the formal month back in 2001 because there is an enormous need to create heightened awareness for the importance of long-term care planning,” explains Jesse Slome, director of the Association. “We specifically did not include the word insurance because while that's an option available to individuals, we wanted to make this an all-encompassing effort.”
Since being established by Slome, Long-Term Care Awareness Month has been recognized by the U.S. Congress as well as being declared by a number of states and municipalities. “I am very proud of how this important grass roots effort has grown,” Slome adds.
To support insurance professionals who look to tie into the month, the Association is offering electronic versions of the 2018 Awareness Month artwork. “When many agents each do something small, we'll continue to make enormous progress towards our goal of heightened awareness,” Slome shares.
“Millions of aging Americans have zero plan in place for dealing with the very real risk of needing long-term care at some point in their life,” Slome notes. “When they do, the added stress on loved ones disrupts live. The cost can severely strap families and more important, the cost which is often borne by taxpayers puts a huge strain on other important taxpayer funded programs such as education.”
The American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance advocates for the importance of planning and helps consumers connect with knowledgeable professionals who are independent advisors. To request the artwork, visit the Association's website where contact information to connect with Slome can be found.
Consumers looking for local long-term care insurance agents or cost comparisons should visit the Association's website at www.aaltci.org or can call the organization's national headquarters at 818-597-3227.
