Brennan Junior of the Supreme Court of the United States. His desire to help those that needed legal representation combined with his general interest in issues of public concern and politics led him to continue in the field with the International Peace Corps, where he worked as deputy secretary general. In the late 1960s, Mr. Fishbein became a partner with Kaye Scholer LLP, where he stayed for 35 years.
Currently, Mr. Fishbein works with the firm as special counsel, a role he has held since 2002. Over the years, he has also gained valuable experience through the Presidential Commission to Nominate Candidates for Federal Court of Appeals, the New York State Constitutional Convention and New York University School of Law. In the coming years, Mr. Fishbein intends to continue excelling in his role as special counsel with Kaye Scholer, LLP.
An expert in his field, Mr. Fishbein holds a Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Harvard University, which he earned in 1955 and 1958, respectively. In order to remain aware of industry changes, he affiliates himself with the New York State Commission on Higher Education, the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the American Bar Association, the American Bar Foundation and the American College of Trial Lawyers. Throughout his life, Mr. Fishbein has sat on the board of directors for Purchase College, Friends of the Supreme Court of Israel, White Plains Hospital, the Brennan Center for Justice, Health Care Chaplaincy and the I Have A Dream Foundation.
For his professional accomplishments, Mr. Fishbein has been recognized with the Distinguished Community Service Award from Brandeis University. He further obtained the Jurisprudence Award, which he earned through the Organization for Rehabilitation Through Training. Additionally, Mr. Fishbein has been featured in a plethora of volumes of Who's Who in America, as well as Who's Who in the East and Who's Who in American Law.
