Denver, CO, May 26, 2019 — Business and Professional Women of Colorado (BPW Colorado) was founded in 1919. This organization has, and continues to be, a leader for women's rights at the local, state, national, and international levels.

(BPW) of Colorado’s mission is to achieve equity for all women in the workplace through advocacy, education and information. The organization has been building powerful women: personally, professionally, and politically since 1919.

Please join the women of BPW in celebrating The Business & Professional Women of Colorado’s 100th anniversary. The theme “She for She” was chosen to encompass the resilience, partnership, and sense of community the women of Colorado have fostered for over 100 years.

Special honoree Theresa Szczurek, Ph.D. Chief Information Officer & Executive Director of the Colorado Governor’s Office will be awarded with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Guests will have the opportunity to sit in on Leadership Roundtables featuring Colorado leaders: Regan Byrd on “Uprooting Implicit Bias”; former Senator Evie Hudak on “Advocating for Legislative Issues”; Rita Smith, NFL consultant, on “Violence Against Women”; Laurie Dameron, Advocate, on “Environmental Issues”; Karen Haas McGee on “Sexual Harassment”; Alexis Anderten on Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame; and Jess Dewell and Jenn Olson, Trustees, on CO Women’s Education Foundation.

The Colorado Women's Hall of Fame will have displays of amazing women in Colorado through time.
