Dr. Shervin Erfani has excelled as a professor and a chair of electrical and computer engineering at the University of Windsor since 2002.

With more than 40 years of professional experience to his credit, Dr. Erfani has excelled as a professor and a chair of electrical and computer engineering at the University of Windsor since 2002. Prior to obtaining his current roles, he worked as a member of the technical staff at Lucent Technologies Bell Laboratories from 1985 to 2002 and an assistant professor at the University of Michigan from 1983 to 1985. Dr. Erfani began his career an assistant professor at the National University of Iran from 1978 to 1982 and as a research associate at Southern Methodist University from 1982 to 1983.

Dr. Erfani pursued an education with the University of Tehran, where he obtained a Master of Science in electrical engineering in 1971. He continued his studies at Southern Methodist University, earning a Master of Science in 1974. Dr. Erfani concluded his academic efforts at Southern Methodist University in 1976, graduating with a Doctor of Philosophy in electrical engineering.

A respected voice in electrical engineering research community, Dr. Erfani has been affiliated with a number of professional organizations. A lifetime senior member and the former vice president of the Southeast Michigan chapter of the IEEE, he is a chartered engineer with the Institute of Electrical Engineers UK. Dr. Erfani has served as a visiting professor with the University of Puerto Rico, an adjunct professor at the Stevens Institute of Technology, and a member of the research staff at Racal-Datacom.

Throughout his career, Dr. Erfani has been celebrated for his contributions to the field. He has been featured in numerous publications, including multiple editions of Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Education, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in the East, Who's Who in the World, and Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America. Dr. Erfani is further associated with the New York Academy of the Sciences, Tau Beta Pi, and Eta Kappa Nu.
