This important film seeks to educate viewers around the globe about how they can use their purchasing power to stop funding slavery, and which NGOs they can support in order to make the biggest impact in ending slavery once and for all.
This is Ann Margret Nielsen’s directorial debut. Born in Denmark and currently living in Southern California, she has her PhD in Political Science from Claremont Graduate University. Ann loves to explore the world and has traveled to more than 100 countries. “Still Slaves” was produced by both Nielsen and Shannon Rose (“All Things Must Pass”), and they made it a priority to work with women, including up and coming composer, Jacqueline Macri. They are thrilled for the film to be included in the LA Femme Film Festival.
