During her time with the University, she has also worked as the chief of the Division of Neurology. In a career filled with highlights, Dr. Porter most values her research into dementia and Alzheimer's disease as well as receiving fellowship status recognition through the American Neurological Association.
An expert in her field, Dr. Porter holds a Bachelor of Science in microbiology and an Doctor of Medicine from UCLA. After graduating, she became certified in neurology, psychiatry, behavioral neuro-behavior and neuropsychiatry. Due to the fact that the field of medicine is always changing, Dr. Porter remains aware of changes by way of her affiliations with the American Academy of Neurology, the American Medical Association and the American Neurological Association.
For her professional accomplishments, Dr. Porter has been recognized on a plethora of occasions.
