WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ, June 17, 2019 — Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Zeldon (Zeke) E. Rose with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Rose celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
A success in the field of public relations, Mr. Rose celebrates more than 40 years of excellence in his profession. A graduate of the Bronx High School of Science, he began his journey shortly after graduating from New York University (where he was a member of the NYU Student Hall of Fame) with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1953. Moving to Virginia that same year, he was affiliated with a local newspaper as a wire editor, and soon continued his career in New Jersey with the Asbury Park Press as a reporter and editor. Moving on to public relations in 1958, he joined ABC as a publicist and assistant magazine editor for six years. After his departure, Mr. Rose advanced from account executive to vice president of Harshe-Rotman & Druck from 1964 to 1970.
Following a brief stay with John DeNigris Associates Inc. as senior vice president from 1970 to 1971, Mr. Rose became a founding partner and president of Porter, LeVay & Rose Inc., until 1995 and then stayed for two more years to ensure an orderly transition. As a public relations executive, he worked with a variety of corporate clients ranging from Money magazine and Dixie Cups to the Atlantic City Convention Bureau and Ideal Toys. Unique in his experience was the five years he spent as a consultant to daredevil Evel Knievel.
In non-business affairs, Mr. Rose was president of the former Congregation B'nai Sholom from 1981 to 1983 and again from 1999 to 2000. Since 2012, he has been president of the B'nai Sholom-Beth El Charitable Trust, an affiliate of Congregation Torat El, Ocean, New Jersey. Mr. Rose also served many years as a volunteer on the Long Branch (NJ) Juvenile Conference Committee and the New Jersey Child Placement Review Board.

He is a member of the Breakwater Beach Club of New Jersey and spends his winters in St. Thomas at a home the family purchased in 1980. He enjoys tennis, reading and Gold's Gym exercise.
