(PRESS RELEASE JET) September 28, 2017
The BLS serves its members and the public through its substantive Standing Committees, including the ILSC, and its editorial board. ILSC members – who must be in practice for at least five years – participate in the creation of law and develop connections with other practitioners in the field. The ILSC is made up of members who are appointed for three- or four-year terms. The committee’s purpose is to bring together attorneys with insurance- related practices to discuss and examine developments in insurance law and to advise the Bar on any such developments that may affect insurance law practice. Historically the committee has included private insurance practitioners, in-house counsel, counsel for insurance industry trade associations, and lawyers from the California Department of Insurance.
