Courses are offered quarterly on the UCLA Campus in Westwood, Downtown Los Angeles, Woodland Hills and online.

“We celebrate not only a century of growth and achievement, but look to the future where lifelong learning has become the norm for students and professionals,” says Wayne Smutz, Dean of Continuing Education and UCLA Extension. “Our goal is to reimagine learning to create new horizons, new educational opportunities, and continue our dedicated service by extending our reach locally, nationally, and globally.”

New UCLA Extension initiatives in 2017 include Silicon Beach Innovation Lab (SBILab), a tech entrepreneurship membership program; a new center in Woodland Hills at Warner Center Towers with twelve (12) state-of-the art classrooms; and collaborations with partners such as IBM, Town Hall of Los Angeles and Goodwill Industries. UCLA Extension plans to continue its celebration until 2019, in step with UCLA’s 100 years, (1919-2019).

Student success stories are a significant part of the centennial celebration. UCLA Extension is highlighting stories of alumni and instructors whose lives have been transformed by continuing education. In June, the annual Certificate Graduation Ceremony at Royce Hall acknowledges student achievements.
