“Doc and the Princess”: a touching love story blooming at the Malibu Club for youth. “Doc and the Princess” is the creation of published author David K. Siegle, a past-resident staff member at Canada’s Malibu Club, Young Life volunteer, and Vietnam War vet in the US Navy with experience in the motion picture industry and a passion for connecting with youth spiritually.

Siegle shares a scene from just one of many club adventures, “A few hours later, Doc, Chris, Julie, Rusty, Diane, and twenty-two other campers were inside the larger workboat, Nefertiti, as Doc was at the helm of the makeshift tour boat, barefoot as usual. He smiled as he took in the view, which included Julie, who was standing near the bow with her friends, oohing and aahing over all the magnificent beauty that surrounded them. She wore a yellow two-piece swimsuit with a short white cover-up, and white tennis shoes, and she frequently turned to look and smile at Doc. She was making it difficult for him to concentrate on piloting the boat. Meanwhile, several girls were talking to Chris, trying to win his attention. A few of the kids were taking pictures, with their Brownie cameras, of the remarkable surroundings.”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, David K. Siegle’s new book paints a lush picture of camping fun and adventure at the Malibu Club, which sets the perfect backdrop for passion to flourish between two of its young members.

Full of youthful vigor and memorable misadventures, the budding romance and mystery between Doc and Julie will captivate until the happy ending.
